‘Little Venice’ and ‘Rome of Franconia’ are just two of the places you’ll visit on a three-hour guided tour of Bamberg. This excursion takes you to some of the German city’s most famous landmarks, including the Concert Hall with its curved walls, and a 17th-century palace with a rose garden hidden away in its courtyards. ‘Little Venice’ is the name given to the city’s former fishermen village. It’s built from half-timbered buildings that practically prop each other up. ‘Rome of Franconia’, meanwhile, refers to Bamberg’s old town, which is peppered with churches, markets and beer gardens.
