Walking tour of Bernkastel
Bernkastel and Kues are twin towns in Germany, split by the River Moselle. On this two-hour walking tour, a guide will tell you about the history of the area, and point out some of its important landmarks. At the heart of the town, you’ll find Marketplatz, where row upon row of gabled, half-timbered, 17th-century houses line the streets. You’ll also see the Spitzhäuschen – the pointed house. It’s one of the oldest buildings in the town and dates back to 1416. The tour also goes past the hilltop ruins of the ninth-century Landshut Castle. Finally, snap photos of Graacher Gate – the last remaining gateway into Bernkastel-Kues.
