You’ll have your beach fix, but you’ll also have the chance to get out and about and explore the country. We even offer tours where you can hop from one destination to another and tick off two countries in one trip. Take a look at our round-up of some of our favourite destinations that you can visit to combine beach and culture in one holiday.
Then, head to the Multi-Destination holiday section of our site to browse the full list, and get the best deal…
Costa Rica is a wildlife-lover's paradise. 51% of the country is jungle-covered greenery packed with over 500,000 unique species of plants and animals. On our Multi-Destination trips to Costa Rica, you can get acquainted with the rainforest with activities like spotting tropical birds in Los Chilese, crossing the hanging bridges over the forest canopy spotting monkeys and sloths, and taking a dip in some hot volcanic springs. Keep your eyes peeled for fingernail-sized glass frogs and over 52 species of super-speedy hummingbird. Plus, chill-out time on beaches like Coco Bay is on the cards, too.
You might have heard of Halong Bay and Vietnam’s famous terraced rice paddies, but we bet you didn’t know that the south-east Asian country boasts some amazing sand stretches, too. On our Multi-Destination holidays, you can combine both. Expect the likes of adventures through northern Vietnam, where you’ll trek through the terraced green fields of the Muong Hoa Valley, try some streetside Pho in Hanoi’s old quarter, and explore Halong Bay’s beautiful limestone peaks by boat. Then, on the other side of the coin, there's the under-the-radar, secluded island of Phu Quoc on Vietnam’s south coast, which is the perfect place to relax.
Vietnam’s neighbour Thailand is also the perfect place for a beach and culture break, with lively cosmopolitan cities and paradise-like beach resorts in one convenient setting. On some of our itineraries, you could spend half of your holiday exploring the buzzing city of Bangkok, with Buddhist temples and street markets on the agenda. Then, the rest of your holiday could be spent relaxing on the beautiful beaches of Khao Lak.
You can’t visit India without seeing some of the iconic sites, including the magnificent palace that is the Taj Mahal – one of the Seven Wonders of the Modern World. On our Multi-Destination holidays, you could be ticking off the temples and museums of Delhi, the stunning pink city of Jaipur, and the Taj Mahal in Agra. And, there's spice tasting at the colourful markets, expeditions to abandoned ghost towns, and strolls through some impressive green spaces and gardens. Then, once you've had your fill of exploring, Goa's sand-swept shores await.
