Summer whites. Strawberries and cream. Infuriating downpours. Together they can only mean one thing - Wimbledon is back in business. With the Championships just around the corner on June 27th, it won’t be long until the country is once again gripped by full-blown tennis fever.
But why sit around watching the tennis when you could be playing it yourself? Not only is it great for your health, but it’s also super sociable, making it the perfect game for on holiday. Regardless of whether you can barely hit a few balls or are the next Nadal, it’s time to dust off that racket and get back on the court.
Tennis might not be the first thing which springs to mind when somebody says Ibiza, but after a holiday at the beautiful Sensatori Resort ibiza, it will be. From 26th June – 10th July over the two weeks of Wimbledon, Sensatori Ibiza will be running a dedicated tennis academy for guests so that instead of watching the Championships, you can live them yourself and brush up on your game.
Don’t worry about the kids – they’ll be off enjoying themselves at the Play House, where the Silly Science Lab, Crazy Kitchen and Arts and Crafts Zone is guaranteed to spark their imaginations. For even younger guests, the multi-sensory nursery filled with fun flashing lights and tactile panels will keep them captivated, so you can relax and savour your game.
After a hard day of courtside action, restore your tired muscles in the indulgent Prestige Spa or simply relax in the resort’s rooftop bar where you’ll have uninterrupted views of the evening sun setting into the sea.
Don't miss: Dinner at the elegant Sunset Mediterranean restaurant, where you can sample traditional local dishes, such as black rice paella, as you admire the sea views.
Fancy brushing up on your backhand? Book a place on the Sensatori Resort Ibiza’s tennis academy here.
Set on a sandy beach surrounded by a pine forest, the Robinson Club Apulia’s magical setting makes it ideal for an active holiday. And with nine tennis courts to choose from, it’s particularly good for living out your own Wimbledon dream. Play with friends and family or join one of the tournaments which take place here every day to keep things competitive on court, before cooling off after with a drink at the aptly named Tennis Bar.
In the evenings, try your hand at one of the outdoor gourmet cookery classes, where you’ll learn to transform local seasonal produce into mouth-watering meals. There’s also the chance to learn culinary cornerstone, such as how to fillet a fish, cook the perfect steak and pair flavours, so expect to pick up plenty of useful tricks along the way.
Once this has ignited your creative streak, unleash your inner artist with an art class in the studio, where you’ll be able to try your hand at silk painting, home décor and napkin découpage on canvas, terracotta and glass, so that you take home more than just an improved serve after a holiday here.
Don’t miss: The chance to let your hair down at night. Robinson Club Apulia hosts live music by the pool and beach parties throughout the summer. It also has its own resident night club where you can party past the wee hours and through ‘til morning in time for tennis. New balls, please.

When it comes to facilities, Robinson Esquinzo Playa is the kind of place where tennis dreams are made. With a grand total of 11 tennis courts, including six indoor ones for when you want to escape to the shade, there’s plenty of room to play whether you’re an amateur or a seasoned pro.
Borrow one of the new, top-of-the-range rackets free of charge and sign up for one of the free taster sessions to ease you back into the game. Get the rest of the family involved as there are children’s lessons available, too.
But if this sounds too tennis-intensive for you, there are plenty of other sports to try your hand at. Why not take a catamaran out and learn to sail with one of the resident certified instructors? Or, have a go at windsurfing or kitesurfing, for which taster sessions are included in your stay. Combine these skills with your freshly honed tennis abilities and you’ve got sporting prowess on both land and sea.
Don’t miss: The resident swimming school, where little ones can learn to improve their strokes in the dedicated kids’ pool while you sit back and relax.

Palatial Robinson Agadir combines the best of both worlds – high octane sports and a perfectly peaceful setting with a backdrop of the Atlantic Ocean on one side and the Atlas Mountains on the other. In fact, these views are ideal for distracting your opponent when you’re playing on one of the five tennis courts in the grounds, including two floodlit ones that keep play going into the cooler evenings.
Morocco meanwhile, is famous for its surfing, and Robinson Agadir is a great place to experience its waves. Whether you’re an accomplished surfer or have never been out on a board before, you’ll find everything you need here from wetsuits to surfboards in order to improve, as well as organised trips to Taghazout, Tamraght and Agadir to find the best waves.
Afterwards, relax in the WellFit® spa temple and try some authentic Moroccan treatments, like a cleansing traditional hammam or a soothing argan oil massage to help restore your body back to its natural balance.
Don’t miss: The chance to explore the local countryside on horseback. Saddle up and take one of the mountain trails to discover nomadic villages or take a gallop along one of the long sandy beaches.
