When you think of villa holidays, you picture tailor-made breaks where you’re the one calling the shots. But shopping around for flights, sorting the accommodation, and hiring a car can make it all a bit of a faff.
That’s where the villa-package combo steps in. Imagine a villa break where the whole lot is sorted in one fell swoop. Sounds good, right? Well that’s exactly how we do it.
When you book a villa holiday with TUI, you get the flights, the accommodation and the car hire sorted in one.
And we’ve got villas all around the world – from the squeaky-clean suburbs of Orlando, to the tree-clad hills of Crete. All you have to do is pick one, and we’ll take care of the rest. We haven’t messed with the basics, so you’ll still have the place to yourself, with free rein to cook how you like and explore where you want.
If that hasn’t convinced you enough, we’ve pulled together the best bits about our villa breaks, which prove that DIY holidays don’t come better…
Whether you’re hankering for a slice of seclusion, or keen to stay close to the action, we’ve got a villa to fit the bill. Greece is one of the most popular destinations for villa holidays, with neat little houses dotted around the various islands.
In Kefalonia, you can get away from it all at the remote Villa Anestis, where you’ll have your own private pool and sea views.
If you’d rather be close to the action, we’ve got a big line-up of villas in Disney’s back garden – Orlando. The Orlando Plus Villas all come with a games room or a poolside hot tub, and they’re only a short drive from the famous theme parks.
Big European hitters like Cyprus, Portugal and Spain also feature on the destination list.
Our villas cater for parties of every size – from couples’ breaks to big group holidays. Count to ten, and you’re likely to find a property to match every number along the way.
At the larger end of the scale, the Villa Monte Domingos Simoes, in Portugal’s Algarve region, has space for a whopping 12 people. Throw a private pool and a barbecue into the mix, and you’re all set for super-sized family breaks.
The nearby Villa Sanuno has space for the same number of people, and parties of 10 will fit into the Villa Carmen, in Ibiza, and the Villa Garbo, in Menorca.
If you’re not going abroad en masse, don’t panic – there are lots of pint-sized villas to pick from. The Villa Adonis, on the sleepy Greek island of Lefkas, is set up for a couple with a child, and the Petrinos Cottage in Corfu has room for three guests.
One of the smallest villas in our collection is the Casa Cica, in the mountains of Andalucia, which has room for just two. It’s one of the most secluded properties you’ll lay your eyes on, and the views from the private pool are top-notch. Who said you needed a big group to get a good deal on a villa?
One of the big worries for do-it-yourself holidaymakers is how they’re going to get about, but that’s all taken care of with our villa packages. Every package comes with car hire thrown in, so you’re all set – even if your chosen villa is in the back end of beyond.
Your car will be ready to pick up from whichever airport you land at, and there’s no mileage cap holding you back once you’re behind the wheel.
If you’re keen to get away from it all, drive your holiday set of wheels to one of our away-from-it-all rural properties – like the Villa Ca Na Francisca or the Villa Aumadrava Den Riusech, both in Majorca.
Now, you might have chosen a villa to get away from the hustle and bustle of the hotel scene, but there are some villas with a few extra strings to their bow. You won’t find lagoon-like pools or neon-lit bars, but our Villa Resorts cater for families who want a couple of hotel-style comforts.
The Aphrodite Hills Villas, in Cyprus, lead the way in this field – the complex has a few restaurant options, night-time entertainment, and an 18-hole golf course. In true villa style, you still get a private pool and smart self-catering facilities, but you can expect kids’ clubs and a full-blown activity programme during the daytime.
Lots of Orlando’s villa resorts sing from the same hymn sheet, lining up beach volleyball courts and clubhouses among the extra-large properties. One of the standout options is Southern Dunes, where you’ll find one of the highest-rated golf courses in Florida.
Take a look at some of our villa holidays.
