Paleochora is a small town of about 2000 inhabitants nestling 75 km southwest of Chania, under the immense White Mountains on the Greek island of Crete. In the summer it entertains up to a couple of thousand tourists of all European nationalities.

On a small peninsula, at the southernmost tip of Europe, Paleochora enjoys very hot summers but with pleasant sea breezes.

Probably because of its distance from the airport in Chania it is fairly quiet even in high season and has retained a wonderful old-fashioned feel. Many visitors seem to return year after year.

The sun-soaked city of Rethymno is the perfect blend of history, culture and picturesque scenery, all with a distinct Cretan charm. Stroll through the enchanting streets of the Old Town, lined with flower-laden houses, outdoor cafes, quaint local shops and Renaissance-style buildings, overlooked by a Venetian fortress. The scenic harbour is lined with fishing boats, and you'll find an excellent sandy beach right on your doorstep. Though tranquil by day, the city's restaurants and bars come alive in the evening with both locals and visitors.

This seaside village lies along the Libyan Sea and is famous for its impressive caves carved into the soft limestone cliffs. These caves date back to Roman and early Christian times and gained international fame in the 1960s, when hippies from all over the world came to live there. Today, the caves remain one of the most fascinating attractions in southern Crete.

As the capital of Crete and home to its main airport, Heraklion is often simply the gateway to the island’s beach resorts. However, the city is a destination in itself, and houses historical masterpieces like the renowned Archaeological Museum and the nearby Palace of Knossos, surrounded in myths and legends of the ancient Minoan civilization. Visit the old boat-lined Venetian harbour, marvel at Byzantine churches and stroll through the bustling streets of the Old Town to get a glimpse into Crete’s unique culture and history.

Agios Nikolaos lies on the northeastern coast of Greece's largest island, Crete, and overlooks the deep blue waters of the picturesque Mirabello Bay. You’ll find pedestrianised streets and charming squares that bustle with visitors and locals, as well as a number of chic bars that come alive in the evening. Lake Voulismeni lies in the centre of the town and its shores are lined with outdoor cafes and seafood restaurants, the perfect spot to spend relaxed afternoons. A popular day trip from nearby beach resorts, Agios Nikolaos is a dream.

Chania, located on the northwestern coast of Crete, is one of the island's most evocative and charming destinations. Its old Venetian harbour is lined with colourful buildings, historic sights and bustling outdoor cafes and restaurants, and throughout the Old Town you'll stumble upon cobbled streets and narrow lanes filled with local craft shops, boutiques and authentic tavernas. On either side of the harbour lie excellent beaches that boast crystal-clear waters and white sands, the perfect spot for relaxed and tranquil holidays.
