o Travel formalities

It is the responsibility of each traveller to ensure that they have the necessary travel documents and are aware of the required travel formalities both domestically and internationally.

If you're planning to travel to an EU or Schengen zone country your passport must be less than 10 years old on the day you enter (check the `date of issue') and valid for at least 3 months after the day you plan to leave (check the `expiry date'). Passports issued more than 10 years prior to date of travel are not accepted. If you're travelling outside of the EU, you may also need up to 6 months validity. o Financial Protection (package holiday and flight bookings only) and Package Key Rights (Package holidays only)

We only financially protect package holidays and flight only bookings.

A package holiday is a single booking that includes two or more different travel services, such as transport, accommodation, or car hire.

IMPORTANT: If your booking only includes one type of travel service, it will not be a package holiday or financially protected. This means that you will not benefit from the rights applying to package under the Package Travel and Linked Travel Arrangements Regulations 2018.

Bookings with flights are ATOL protected (TUI Nederland N.V. ATOL 12907).

Packages without flights are protected by TUI Nederland N.V.’s insurance with International Passenger Protection Limited (IPP)/ Liberty Mutual insurance.

If you have booked a package holiday, the following wording applies to you:

The combination of travel services offered to you is a package within the meaning of the Package Travel and Linked Travel Arrangements Regulations. Therefore, you will benefit from all EU rights applying to packages. TUI Nederland N.V. will be fully responsible for the proper performance of the package as a whole. Additionally, as required by law, TUI Nederland N.V. has protection in place to refund your payments and, where transport is included in the package, to ensure your repatriation in the event that it becomes insolvent. o Travel Insurance

We strongly recommend that you, and everyone on your booking, purchase travel insurance to cover you in the event that you need to cancel your booking or require assistance (including repatriation, in the event of accident, illness or death).
