Exploring Florence, Cinque Terre & Lucca

A rental car is a great way to explore Tuscany and the Italian Riviera at your own pace. While driving between destinations is easy, each stop offers different ways to enjoy the region.

  • Florence: choose between centrally located city hotels or peaceful properties just outside the city, offering a more authentic Tuscan atmosphere and often convenient parking facilities. Florence's historic centre is best explored on foot.
  • Cinque Terre & La Spezia: La Spezia is an ideal base for visiting the Cinque Terre. The villages are easily reached by train or ferry, while several public parking facilities make it easy to combine local transport with the flexibility of your rental car.
  • Lucca: parking is available outside the city walls and the compact historic centre can easily be explored on foot or by bicycle.
