This remote destination serves as the gateway to Antarctica and offers breathtaking natural beauty at every turn. Explore the nearby Tierra del Fuego National Park, where pristine forests meet rugged coastlines and wildlife roams freely. Take a boat trip along the Beagle Channel to spot sea lions, penguins, and historic lighthouses. The city itself combines frontier charm with modern amenities, featuring excellent seafood restaurants and museums that tell the story of this fascinating region. Winter transforms Ushuaia into a snow sports paradise, while summer brings nearly endless daylight for hiking and exploration. Whether you're seeking adventure or simply want to say you've reached the end of the world, Ushuaia delivers an unforgettable experience.
Day 5
Venture to the true 'End of the World' and experience the thrill of being in a truly magical location. Any traveller who sets foot in Ushuaia must visit the terminus of the Pan-American route, which starts in Alaska and concludes over 15,000 kilometres later within the Tierra del Fuego National Park. This is where you can snap that all-important photo, marking your achievement of reaching this significant milestone.
Just a mere 1,000 km further lies Antarctica. In the early morning, a transfer service will collect you from your hotel for a journey to the Tierra del Fuego National Park, situated just 12 km from the heart of Ushuaia. Here, you'll have the opportunity to take a brief stroll through the Fuegian forest. Your adventure continues with a visit to Ensenada, a bay where the Andes, subantarctic forest and sea converge to form a one-of-a-kind ecosystem in Argentina. This area was once home to native peoples, and their archaeological remnants can still be found today.
You'll also discover America's last post office here. The tour then takes you towards other scenic spots for mini excursions, allowing you to admire the local flora and fauna that will astound you with their beauty.
