New Taipei (新北市), while officially a city, is more like a region surrounding the cities of Taipei and Keelung in Northern Taiwan. It is considered a part of the Taipei Metropolitan Area.

Situated on Taiwan’s east coast, the city of Hualien is best known for being the gateway to the stunning Taroko Gorge. An industrial city set in western Taiwan, Taichung has experienced rapid growth in recent years in terms of its cultural offerings.
