Train from Oslo to Bergen
The Oslo to Bergen train journey, known as the Bergen Railway, is widely considered one of Europe's most spectacular train trips due to its dramatic scenery. The journey takes you through Hardangervidda, Europe's largest mountain plateau. Views are stunning and range from deep fjords to snow-covered mountains. The c.7-hour journey is comfortable, well-equipped, and runs year-round, with optional upgrades and onboard dining.
We recommend this train journey as your mode of transport from Oslo to Bergen but you will need to purchase tickets independently, on the VY (Norwegian State Railway) website.
