- Since 1996 a SnowCastle has been built every winter using only snow and sea water ice as building materials. Every year the castle has a new theme and guests can explore frozen pathways, admire snow sculpture covered castle walls and enjoy dinner in a frozen restaurant.

Experience an Ice Breaker Cruise
- Kemi is one of the few places in the world where the sea freezes over and the icebreakers are needed to keep the port operating. Guests can join the Arctic Icebreaker Sampo as it breaks through the frozen ice in the Gulf of Bothnia.
- Guests can also join guided tours of the ship to learn about it's history, visit the engine room and Captain's bridge and even take a swim (in a survival suit).
