Innsbruck

While many travel to Innsbruck for the attractions of the surrounding Alps, the city itself is undoubtedly worth taking the time to explore. Its picture-perfect Altstadt is lined with rows of colourful houses and historical gems such as the Baroque Cathedral and numerous Palaces which were once the home of Emperor Maximilian I. Catch a cable car from the city centre to the snow-covered peaks of the Nordkette Mountain Range for excellent skiing in winter and climbing, hiking and biking during the summer months - the possibilities are endless.
