Important information to book ferries

Ferry crossings are not included and should be booked separately. To arrange your ferry tickets, visit Direct Ferries, where you can compare schedules and prices from all major ferry operators.

For this itinerary, book the following ferry route:
Dover → Calais
Calais → Dover

Select your preferred departure date and time, then enter the number of passengers and the vehicle you will be travelling with. Complete the booking by providing payment information and make sure you receive a confirmation email or e-ticket.

After arriving in Calais, continue your journey by car to Bruges and Ghent. Both cities are easily accessible from the ferry port and can be reached in approximately 1 to 1.5 hours.

Book early: ferry crossings between Dover and Calais are very popular throughout the year, particularly during school holidays and peak summer travel periods. We strongly recommend booking your ferry tickets well in advance to secure your preferred departure times and the best available fares.
