Berlin, Dresden and Prague: a journey through history

The city of Dresden, also called the ‘Florence on the Elbe’, is littered with silhouettes of spires, towers and domes of palaces, churches and grand buildings stemming from its 18th century reign. Well worth a visit are for example the ‘Zwinger’ palace and its large church called ‘Frauenkirche’. Most of the contents of these buildings were removed and the buildings around them restored after WWII. Dresden, however, also has a more modern side on the other bank of the river Elbe with many restaurants, shops and a colourful nightlife.

Set on the banks of the flowing Vltava River, enchanting Prague prides itself as the Czech Republic's capital and largest city. From the countless towering spires of the city’s historic churches and the cobbled streets and majestic squares of its magical Old Town to its excellent museums, world-renowned breweries and vibrant cultural scene, Prague offers something for everyone. Be sure to stroll along the medieval Charles Bridge and take in the views of the city's incredible 9th century castle - you won't be disappointed.
