This tour follows in the footsteps of Lanzarote's much-loved local artist, Cesar Manrique. Admire his Cactus Garden, see the inspiring natural wonders of the Green Caves, and visit the typical town of Teguise.
First up is Teguise. You'll stop for a panoramic view of Lanzarote's former capital, taking in its colonial church and whitewashed balconied mansions. Then, the incredible scenery keeps coming as you're driven through the wow-factor landscape of the Valley of the Thousand Palm Trees to the village of Haria for an optional lunch.
Continue up to Mirador del Río, perched 475 meters high on the Famara cliffs. From here you'll get sweeping views across the Atlantic to the island of La Graciosa and the Chinijo Archipelago. There's also visits to two of Manrique's most defining designs. First up, the Green Caves, which he helped to redesign in the 1960s, enhancing what nature had already created. This labyrinth of hidden galleries, passages and natural staircases leads you to an impressive natural auditorium. Round off the trip at Manrique's Cactus Garden, which perfectly highlights his lifelong ambition to marry the worlds of nature and architecture.
