Set off from Piano Provenzana, at 1,800 metres on the northern side of Mount Etna, for an exciting 4x4 adventure through the volcano's rugged landscape. You'll travel in specially equipped off-road vehicles with professional multilingual Alpine guides authorised by the Etna Park Authority.
Your first stop is the Umberto and Margherita craters at around 2,380 metres. You'll take a short walk along the rim of these impressive extinct craters before continuing towards the volcanological observatory at 2,818 metres.
From here, you'll set off on a 15-minute trek to the Pizzi Deneri promontory at 2,850 metres. Weather permitting, you'll enjoy spectacular views of the Aeolian Islands, the Ionian coast from Syracuse to Taormina, Giardini Naxos and the Calabrian coast.
