Meet your host at the local operator's office, where you are provided with preliminary information in a multimedia video about Ancient Rome. Set off on foot with your host to the access of the Forum before beginning your self-guided visit.

See the Roman Forum where everyday Roman citizens used to live, see the tomb of emperor Julius Caesar, and explore the ancient ruins at your own pace. Continue to Palatine Hill, the site of the foundation of Rome, and the settlement of the most important houses of emperors and kings.

Step inside one of the world's most famous monuments, the Colosseum. Explore the immense amphitheatre, the largest ever built by the Roman Empire.

Next, take in the highlights of the Vatican Museums on a self-guided tour. Wander through the Hall of Maps, Pinecone Courtyard, Gallery of Tapestries, Gallery of Candelabrs, and Raphael Rooms. Access the Sistine Chapel and gaze up at the masterpiece on the ceiling.
