Glacier hike on Sólheimajökull

Take a walk on the icy glacier caps and experience the Icelandic nature up and close. On this day trip, you will hike on the glacier with crampons and experience a wonderland of ice sculptures, ridges and learn about these disappearing giants.

Within less than two hours drive from Reykjavík is Eyjafjallajökull glacier, and just a little further the Sólheimajökull glacier tongue extends down from Mýrdalsjökull, Iceland's fourth largest glacier. Your professional tour guide will provide you with basic glacier equipment and teach you how to use them.

You will also experience the beauty of the striking waterfalls of Skógafoss and Seljalandsfoss, as you'll stop by on the way back to Reykjavik. As a bonus, the tour also includes transport with the Plain Wreck Shuttle to visit the DC-3 wreck on the black beach, a perfect opportunity to take some unique photos.
