You'll be picked up from your accommodation in a comfortable 4x4, which you'll ride in as you tick off a few nearby vantage points that show off some of the island's best landscapes. Eventually, you'll stop in the town of Teguise for some time to look around. This place was the island's capital until 1852. You'll be able to head off on your own and potter around its cobbled lanes and look at its centuries-old churches, temples and castle. From here, you'll make two more stops. The first is at Famara, a five-kilometre-long stretch of coast where you'll have some free time to go for a stroll. The second is the Timanfaya National Park visitor centre, where an elevated walkway leads you over historic lava flows.
