The modern Friedrichstadt-Palast in Berlin, built during the times of former East Germany, is a highly advanced theater. Its stage is the biggest in the world allowing for shows of impressive dimensions.
Although rebuilt in the eighties from the ground up in a new location, the history of the Friedrichstadt-Palast dates back to the 19th century, when the first building was erected as a market hall, that later served as a warehouse and a circus, before becoming a theater.
Today, it is the largest and most modern show palace in Europe offering a big variety of different programs such as children’s shows, guest performances, and festival galas.
