Your journey takes us to the historic town of Lübbenau, the gateway to the Spreewald. Here, we will embark on a leisurely two-hour boat ride in a traditional flat-bottom punt. As we drift past lush greenery and wooden houses, an expert boatman will guide us through natural wonders of the region.
Midway through our boat ride, you will stop in the picturesque village of Lehde, a hidden gem where time seems to stand still. You will have the opportunity to explore at your own pace, enjoy the charming scenery, or visit the Open-Air Museum of the Sorbian Village (optional, entrance fee not included). This museum offers an insightful glimpse into the traditions, customs, and history of the Sorbian people, a Slavic minority group who have lived in the region for centuries.
After our visit to Lehde, you return by boat to Lübbenau, where you will take a walk through the historic town, following an audio guide available in 12 languages. You will then have free time to explore further!
