In the south of Valencia lies Albufera National Park, where rice fields and calm waters create the perfect setting for a boat ride. To the north, you’ll find the caves of San Jose in Vall d’Uixo, where you can cruise along an underground river. For fresh air and spectacular views, Mantanejos is worth checking out with its thermal springs, natural pools and mountain trails. And, if it’s beach time you’re after, don’t miss Peniscola to the north-east, with its Medieval castle, old town and golden coastline.
