Visit the Viking Museum, where an exciting journey through Viking age Europe awaits you!
At the museum, extraordinary exhibitions will teach you all about the Vikings, how they lived, what they ate, and what made them excellent sea navigators. Learn how they built boats and even feel the weight of a Viking helmet and clothing.
As you wander around the museum, you’ll be immersed in a full sensory experience with movies, scenery, projections, and sound effects to bring this part of history to life. There are many archaeological objects dating back to the Viking age to admire.
One of the main attractions at the Viking Museum is the Ragnfrid saga ride, a Viking train where you will follow Viking Harold and his crew on a quest. Step back in time and learn all about their lives.
You’ll even get to speak to Vikings! Knowledgeable guides dressed in Viking gear will be there to answer all your questions. The museum offers temporary exhibitions with fun events, and you can buy a souvenir of a fantastic day out from the museum souvenir shop.
