Entrance ticket to Osservatorio Fondazione Prada with exhibition

Explore Osservatorio Fondazione Prada, a modern exhibition space dedicated to visual experimentation and research at the crossroads of technology, imagery, and cultural expression.

Situated on the top two floors of Milan's historic Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II, this venue stretches over 800 square metres across two levels above the central octagon. It sits beneath the iconic glass-and-iron dome crafted by Giuseppe Mengoni. Restored following World War II, the space retains its historical architectural charm while offering unparalleled views over one of the city's most significant landmarks.

Until 30 October 2026, Osservatorio is home to "The Island", a site-specific project by artist Hito Steyerl. This exhibition delves into interconnected narratives shaped by flooding, tackling pressing issues such as AI-driven authoritarian tendencies, the climate crisis, and pressures on scientific research. It showcases a new film by Steyerl, specifically developed for this project, which evolves into a video installation complete with objects, structures, and interviews.

Through these works, time and space are reimagined using the principles of science fiction and quantum physics, resulting in a multi-layered exploration of contemporary reality.
