Family days out are what holidays are all about, and this half-day catamaran trip has every member of the clan covered. There'll be a relaxing cruise along the west coast to Cala Conta, swimming and free time for lunch. Isabelle, a local guide, says, “as much as I love our destination of Cala Conta Bay, the journey there is just as beautiful. As we skim along Ibiza's coastline, you'll see white-washed villages and pine-clad cliffs that tumble down to the blue of the Mediterranean.”
After a bus ride to San Antonio, you'll step aboard a glass-bottom catamaran boat. The kids can head down to the submarine viewing chambers to try and spot local fish, like parrotfish, grouper and barracuda. Make sure you keep an eye out for dolphins too – you never know when a wild pod may splash by. To keep the children entertained, there's a drawing competition they can enter too – complete with a prize at the end of the day.
Meanwhile, you can relax on deck, sipping some sangria and listening to your guide spinning tales about the mysterious nearby island, Es Vedra. Isabelle adds, “There are many theories about Es Vedra – some think it was home to mermaids, some say sirens, while others think it has spiritual healing powers – hear the stories and decide for yourself.” En route, and again when you reach Cala Conta Bay, you can cool off in the blue waters for a swim, and once you step ashore you can find a nice spot for lunch or sunbathing.
