The trail winds through the picturesque mountain landscapes of central Gran Canaria, near the summit of Pico de las Nieves (1,949 m above sea level). This unique route allows you to discover the island's untamed beauty, experience its mountain atmosphere, and admire spectacular panoramic views of the surrounding peaks and the ocean.

Along the way, you can enjoy extensive forests of Canary Island pine, dramatic mountain scenery, and the impressive silhouette of Roque Nublo (1,813 m above sea level), one of the island's most iconic landmarks. In favourable weather conditions, the trail also offers views of Gran Canaria's eastern and southern coastlines, as well as the majestic Teide volcano (3,718 m above sea level), rising on the neighbouring island of Tenerife.

This hike is an ideal choice for lovers of mountains, nature, and unforgettable scenery who want to explore one of the most picturesque parts of the island. After the hike, you'll enjoy lunch at a local restaurant, where you can sample regional specialities such as mojo and aioli sauces, the famous papas arrugadas, and other traditional dishes.

Suitable mountain clothing or sportswear
Hiking shoes with good grip are mandatory and will be checked by the guide before the excursion begins
From October to March, weather conditions can change quickly, and rainfall is generally more frequent. Although excursions are normally not operated in rainy weather, conditions can sometimes be unpredictable. Warm, long-sleeved clothing, long trousers, and a waterproof jacket that can also provide protection from the wind are strongly recommended
As lunch at the restaurant will be served at approximately 2:30 pm, and everyone has different eating habits, you may wish to bring a light snack, such as fruit, energy bars, almonds, biscuits or a sandwich
