Experience one of the world's most vibrant cities on this whirlwind tour of Mumbai. Calling by all the city's top monuments, you'll also visit the sobering Dharavi slum – the largest in Asia. And travelling by plane means you have even more time to explore before heading back by train.
Catching a plane from Goa to Mumbai, you'll head straight out to explore the city. First, you'll marvel at the hundreds of animal-shaped hedges and colourful flower arrangements in the Hanging Gardens.
The eye-opener of the tour though is in Dharavi – inspiration for the hit-movie ‘Slumdog Millionaire'. The largest slum in Asia, it's home to over a million people. Walking through shack-lined lanes with your guide, you'll also visit Dhobi Gat – the biggest open-air laundromat in the world and workplace of many slum-dwellers. After a moving visit, you'll retreat to a hotel for a bit of rest, relaxation and a bite to eat, before catching the night-train back to Goa.
