Step inside the Museo di San Marco with a fast-track entry ticket and explore one of Florence’s most significant Renaissance landmarks. Housed within a 15th-century Dominican monastery, the museum offers a unique combination of art, spirituality and history.
The museum is closely linked to Fra’ Angelico, one of the leading painters of the Early Renaissance, who lived and worked within the complex. Admire an outstanding collection of his paintings and frescoes, including the famous Annunciation, Deposition of Christ and Crucifixion and Saints. Continue through the monastery’s former cells and religious spaces, where beautifully preserved devotional frescoes provide a striking contrast to the simple rooms once occupied by the Dominican preacher Girolamo Savonarola.
The museum also displays objects associated with his life and legacy, alongside other important works such as Giovanni Antonio Sogliani’s The Miraculous Supper of St Domenic.
The ticket includes access to the museum’s exhibitions and a digital audio guide provided by the operator, offering additional insight throughout the visit.
