Spend the day sightseeing in Cordoba on this full-day guided tour, including a visit to the Flora International Flower Festival, where floral artists set up impressive displays of their work in the courtyards of well-known buildings in the city. Maria, one of our guides, says “this festival not only stands out for its unique use of flowers as an artistic expression, but also for the opportunity it provides to learn about Cordoba's heritage in a creative way – it's the perfect fusion of natural beauty and art.”
You'll start the day with a tour of the Historic Centre of Cordoba, which is a UNESCO World Heritage Site in itself, where you'll see how each of the cultures who've called this city home have left their mark. At the Mosque-Cathedral, another World Heritage Site, you can admire the columns and arches of the original mosque, as well as the monuments added when it was converted to a Christian church.
Then, you'll wander through the city centre, where the International Flower Festival takes over courtyards around the city for the week. You'll see impressive displays, filling these historical spaces with colour, scents, and creativity. And, you'll have time to check out the activity programme on offer at the event, including some workshops and cultural shows.
