Officially one of Italy's prettiest towns, Gerace definitely deserves all the attention it can get. And on this full day tour you'll travel to this photogenic Medieval town for a walking tour and a tasting of products with bergamot – the green gold of Calabria.
After being picked up from your hotel you'll head deep into Calabria and climb the hills towards the medieval town of Gerace. From the top, you'll have views that extend all the way to the Ionian Sea and towards the Aspromonte mountains in the distance. Then, once you've captured the view, you'll hop on a mini-train to the centre of town for a walking tour.
There were once over one hundred churches here, but now you'll only see a select few, as well as other historic sites like the Byzantine castle.
