Guided Atlas Mountains 4x4 tour

From sea level to high altitude, this is a full day trip with a side-order of adventure. You'll travel by 4x4 into the Atlas Mountains from the coastal plains of Agadir to discover the Berber village of Imouzzer Ida Outanane. Jamal, one of our expert local guides, says, ‘Imouzzer means “waterfall” in Berber, the language of the Atlas Mountains. Indeed, there are several waterfalls in the heart of our green valley, a place known especially for the quality of its honey.'Your High Atlas Mountains off-road adventure begins with a light breakfast and then a photo stop at the cool, palm-clad Tamzargout oasis, where you can stretch our legs. As we travel higher up into the mountains, the jaw-dropping views over Paradise Valley are sure to leave an impression. We'll arrive in the village of Immouzer to see how life in a typical Berber mountain community unfolds. On hot days, you might see local kids jumping off the rocks into the natural pools just outside the village.As you stroll around the village, you'll pass stalls selling Moroccan souvenirs and the prized local honey. Jamal says, ‘My mother used to prepare an artisanal treat known as “amlou”, made with Immouzer honey mixed with crushed almonds and argan oil, a real Berber delicacy.' Next it's time for an al fresco lunch prepared with fresh, locally sourced ingredients. You'll have some free time to relax and take in your dramatic surroundings before we return to Agadir through a different route in the mountains.

Cable car and souk

Soar throught the skies on a cable car ride from Agadir's Marina up to the historic Casbah of Agadir Oufella, where panoramic views of the bay and city await. You'll stop by a local Argan cooperative, where you can pick up pure Argan oil and spices. Then, finish up your adventure browsing through the bustling stalls of Souk El Had, one of Morocco's largest markets. It's a snapshot of Agadir's best, from sky-high sights to market delights.

Argan Oil Massage

Morocco's argan oil is well-known for its medicinal and wellbeing properties, and there's no better way to kick-start that relaxed holiday feeling than with a full body massage. You'll enjoy two hours of complete bliss as specially trained masseurs work on your aching muscles helping you to completely relax into your stay in Agadir.You'll not have to think about a thing – you'll be picked up by taxi from your hotel and whisked away to a massage centre in Agadir, where it's time to leave all your stress and worries at the door. The calming atmosphere of the massage centre will make you feel at ease straight away, and then you have two whole hours for only you and your thoughts.Using argan oil, the masseurs give you a full body massage that helps to relieve tension in your muscles. And it doesn't end there – you'll be taken back to your hotel by taxi so that your mind and body stay truly relaxed.

Agadir hot air balloon ride

This early morning hot air balloon ride from Agadir features a bird's-eye view to beat all others. You'll float through the sky on an hour-long ride with the Atlas Mountains, Atlantic Ocean and tiny Berber villages stretching out from beneath your feet. Round it off with a typical Berber breakfast before transfer back to your hotel.You'll begin at the crack of dawn with a 4x4 ride across the land to where your hot air balloon is being prepared for take-off. A small continental breakfast will be served as they inflate the balloon, then once you're in the basket, you'll start to rack up the distance between you and the ground as you glide through the sky.On a clear day, you'll see the snow-capped Atlas Mountains in the distance and the sparkle of the Atlantic Ocean contrast against the arid landscape sprinkled with Berber villages. After you've landed, you'll be invited into a Berber tent for a typical breakfast before the return journey.

Agadir camel safari

There's no more Moroccan way to go sightseeing than on the back of a camel. And with this 90-minute ride, you'll be at one with nature as well. You'll be transferred to the north of Agadir where you'll enjoy a slow and steady journey through a banana plantation and one of the city's most picture-postcard beaches. We'll head to a ranch around an hours drive from Agadir to start, where you'll be partnered with a camel between two people. Then, the adventure begins. The camel trail takes you through trails sprinkled with exotic landscapes and sandy dunes. It's a route the whole family will enjoy.Over the 90-minute trip, you'll enjoy a privileged view over the countryside, passing through a banana plantation, as well as have the chance to spot wildlife in its natural surroundings. You'll also enjoy the scenic vistas surrounding Tamri Beach, and as you trundle along, they'll be a quick stop for selfie or two before we head back.

Taroudant half day

Taroudant is a mystical walled city that'll make you feel as if you've stepped back in time. Nestled in the lush Souss Valley beneath the snowcapped Atlas Mountains, its mazy medina and laden souks are straight out of an Indiana Jones movie.Leaving Agadir, we'll head eastwards along the Souss Valley – a landscape peppered with argan trees. This area is famed for its tree-climbing goats. They've become one of Morocco's most iconic images, and we'll stop to take some seriously Instagrammable pics along the way. Then, when we reach Taroudant, we'll size up its 15th century walls before heading into the medina.Our first port of call is at a teahouse for a refreshing mint tea. Your guide will then lead you around the minarets, souks and pomegranate groves of the medina, and you can try your hand at haggling for goods or trying local specialities such as thyme-flavoured honey. You'll also have free time to soak up the atmosphere before heading back to Agadir.

Essaouira UNESCO Heritage Site

Known as the ‘Jewel of the Atlantic', Essaouira is an atmospheric fishing port with age-old souks, pastel blue seaside houses, and a bustling UNESCO-listed Medina. You'll have plenty of time to discover this coastal gem with a guided tour and a visit to Espace Othello Gallery.

Magical Marrakech Tour

Sitting in the shadow of the Atlas Mountains, Marrakech is a rich tapestry of spice-scented souks, street magicians and steaming food carts. You'll visit top sights such as Jemaa el-Fnaa, the Koutoubia Mosque and the Bahia Palace. From Agadir, we'll travel to Marrakech by coach. Kick off with a visit to the outside of the architecturally significant Koutoubia Mosque, a medieval masterpiece that's the city's most recognisable landmark. You'll then head to the Bahia Palace - another outstanding example of Islamic art and architecture. After lunch in the opulent surroundings of a riad, you'll visit Ben Youssef Madrasa and then venture into the maze of souks for a guided tour around the medina. As part of this tour, we offer a shopping stop, where you can indulge in the city's vibrant shopping scene. This is an optional stop and can be customized to your preferences.Next up is the pulsating Jemaa el-Fnaa square – a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The life and soul of the city, you'll have free time to explore, shop, sample some street food, or just soak up the atmosphere of this bustling area. We round off with a dinner show featuring traditional dance and music. Then there's free time or the chance to explore the nighttime excitement of Jemaa el-Fnaa with your guide.

Atlas Mountains Tour

Palm-lined gorges and a bustling market town nestled beneath the western Atlas Mountains are just what you can expect from this day trip from Agadir. You'll visit Immouzer, well-known for its Thursday market, and Paradise Valley, which is just as beautiful as its name suggests.You'll head out of Agadir towards Immouzer stopping along the way to take in the verdant landscape of Tamzargout oasis and enjoy a short walk through the olive grove. Once we arrive at Immouzer, we'll take you to see the waterfall the town is famous for, where you have some free time to wander around. Note that drought has affected the waterfall – it's now known for its natural plunge pool.We'll return into the centre of Immouzer to visit the souk that comes alive every Thursday when locals from the surrounding villages come and trade goods. After some time shopping for spice sets and handmade souvenirs, you'll start the drive back to Agadir.
