Terms & Conditions

Please read these Terms and Conditions carefully before submitting your application. By applying you indicate that you accept these terms and conditions and you agree to be bound by them.

  1. TUI is a trading name of TUI UK Limited (the “Promoter”), a member of TUI Group. Registered office: Wigmore House, Wigmore Lane, Luton, LU2 9TN. Registered in England
  2. Eligibility: This role is open to anyone resident in the UK or the Channel Islands, who is eighteen (18) years of age or older. Employees and immediate family (defined as parents, children, siblings, spouse and life partners) of the Promoter or its affiliates, subsidiaries, advertising or promotion agencies are not eligible to enter. Please note: Selected candidates must be able to travel between 23rd and 25th March 2020 inclusive and must have passports valid for travel on these dates and six months after.
  3. Application mechanics: Internet access is required to participate. To apply, complete the application form telling us why you’d be perfect for the role, if successful, you will be invited to interview. Only one (1) entry per person however applications can be made on behalf of others but interviews will need to be carried out with the proposed candidate. No applications from agents or third parties or applications automatically generated by computer will be accepted. Incomplete or corrupted applications will not be accepted. Applications will only be accepted if they do comply with all application instructions. No purchase necessary.
  4. Entries will be accepted up to 11:59pm GMT on Monday 24th February 2020.
  5. The role of Godparent is honorary but reasonable expenses incurred carrying out Godparent duties will be paid by the Promoter; these will be identified and agreed in advance subject to an agreed scope of work.
  6. A full scope of work and defined duties will be agreed between the Godparents and the Promoter prior to the role’s commencement to include attendance at launch event 23rd – 25th March 2020 and travel on two further itineraries in 2020.
  7. Applications will be shortlisted after Monday 24th February 2020. A shortlist of candidates will be notified via phone call on Wednesday 26th February 2020 to arrange a Skype/video conference interview on Thursday 27th or Friday 28th February 2020. If a successful candidate does not get in contact or respond to the contact in 24 hours or is unable to attend the interview, the Promoter reserves the right to choose another applicant from all eligible entries received. Following the Skype interview, successful candidates will be informed by phone and email by Wednesday 3rd March.
  8. Use of Data: All details provided by you will be held by the Promoter and used in accordance with these terms and conditions and the Promoter’s Privacy Notice available at https://www.tui.co.uk/destinations/info/privacy-notice
  9. Travel: Two (2) successful candidates will be required to attend the TUI River Cruise launch event in Amsterdam 23rd – 25th March 2020 (with the option to bring one guest), £100 will also be given to the Godparent to purchase suitable attire, All flights, meals and drinks on board will be included and accommodation will be covered by the Promoter. Transfers to and from the ship will be covered by the Promoter, departure airports will be decided by the Promoter along with cabin type, dependent on availability. They will also be required to carry out two further TUI River Cruise itineraries in 2020, these are to be chosen and agreed by the Promoter and dates agreed at the convenience of both parties.
  10. All video and photographic content created will be owned and used by the Promoter
