We recently told you all about our quest for a new Child Ambassador for Thomson Airways. And now, we’ve picked a winner…
We searched far and wide for youngsters between the ages of four and 11 to suggest a name for our brand new 787-9 plane, and also to share their ingenious ideas on how we can make the plane even better for children.
Ten lucky finalists were chosen to attend a special Ambassador Day at London Gatwick airport and were given the opportunity to put their child-friendly ideas forward to the judges.
The winner of the competition was four year-old Amber Winters, who has named the plane Pixie Dust. She suggested that the aircraft should include a children’s area with comfy bean bags and a reading corner at the back of the plane.
Amber, who now has the impressive title of Child Ambassador for Thomson Airways, will be jetting off to Thomson’s 5T Sensatori Resort in Mexico on the state-of-the-art aircraft during February half term 2017. The airline will also look to trial some of Amber’s child-friendly suggestions on-board the new aircraft.
