This comes as 86% of customers surveyed in September said they expect to have gone on holiday again by next summer &#8211; demonstrating the growing appetite for travel post Covid-19.<\/p>\n<p>With on-going travel corridor uncertainty for some firm favourites this winter, those craving sunshine during the coldest months have already booked for next winter, with strong demand in particular for Cancun, Jamaica and Tenerife from the extensive range of 52 destinations on sale. The launch, which expands on TUI\u2019s winter 2020 offering, sees two new routes including two flights to Boa Vista in Cape Verde from London Stansted and one from Doncaster Sheffield Airport, as well as increased frequency on a number of existing routes.<\/p>\n<p>With 57% of customers saying they expect to book a Mediterranean beach holiday for summer 2021, we anticipate greater demand for summer 2022 as people want to \u2018make up\u2019 for not being able to go away this year. So far, Greece is the standout destination of choice based on current bookings for next summer, with Turkey, Egypt, Mexico and the Dominican Republic also popular, and patterns indicate these trends could continue into 2022.<\/p>\n<p>TUI will be offering a total of 62 destinations for the summer 2022 programme from 16 UK airports. TUI welcomes back Teesside Airport for summer 2022 for the first time since 2013 with the launch of a weekly flight to Palma on Tuesdays. This flight will also give people living in the Teesside area access to four Marella Cruises sailing itineraries, including Coastal Gems, Treasures of the Mediterranean, Magic of Spain and Mediterranean Medley, all on Marella Discovery and on sale from December 2020.<\/p>\n<p>TUI is seeing an upward trend in 4 and 5-star all-inclusive hotel bookings for next summer, with over 40% of customers surveyed expressing this preference. This includes hotels which offer the \u2018best of both worlds\u2019 with villas or room options with private pools and accommodation, as families in particular seek the security of being able to maintain their \u2018bubble\u2019. TUI will be offering 233 different options in 155 hotels for this growing category in summer 2021 and expects this trend to continue for summer 2022.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>In the same vein, 18% of customers surveyed said they would look to book a villa holiday with car hire included, making social distancing easier on holiday. TUI is offering 150 villas with flights and car hire included for summer 2021 and summer 2022 in Cyprus, Greece, Turkey, Balearic Islands, Canary Islands, mainland Spain, Portugal, Italy and Florida.<\/p>\n<p>TUI also expects Florida to continue to prove popular as many families moved their magical trip from this year to 2021, with 40% of holidays to this destination already sold. Families typically book their Florida holiday far ahead, so placing summer 2022 on sale now will help customers plan their truly memorable family holiday.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Richard Sofer, Commercial &amp; Business Development Director at TUI said:<\/strong> <em>\u201cOur latest customer survey and booking patterns for next summer indicate that the great British public are looking forward to future holidays even more so as they may have been unable to take one this year.
