[1 April 2019] <\/strong>On Saturday, X Factor winning group Rak-Su wowed employees and suppliers at an exclusive ceremony to celebrate the launch of Marella Cruises\u2019 first ever adults only ship, Marella Explorer 2, in Malaga, Spain.<\/p>\n

Rak-Su surprised guests with a show-stopping performance, playing a selection of their chart topping hits including\u00a0\u2018I Want You To Freak\u2019<\/em>, \u2018Dimelo\u2019<\/em>\u00a0and\u00a0\u2018Into it\u2019<\/em> as well as their upcoming single \u2018Yours Or Mine\u2019<\/em>. The christening comes as Marella Explorer 2 sets sail on her maiden customer voyage on Tuesday 2nd<\/sup> April, visiting ports in the Mediterranean with destinations such as Sicily, Sorrento and Corsica.<\/p>\n

Following the launch of Marella Explorer in May last year, the first ship to launch under the brand\u2019s new name, the cruise line continues its pledge of offering customers even more choice and variety with its first ever ship exclusively for adults. The decision comes after customer feedback from a variety of adults only itineraries.<\/p>\n

The adult\u2019s only floating haven introduces three new venues including a new clubhouse bar, the 19th<\/sup> hole, with quirky golf buggy- seating and two golf simulators; Flutes, a sophisticated bubbles bar catering for prosecco and champagne lovers; The Beach Cove serving up barbecue inspired delights with an on the beach al fresco dining feel and a new pizzeria style restaurant Nonna\u2019s, cooking up made-to-order Italian pizzas. As well as these, Marella Explorer 2 boasts an array of dining and bar options, a luxurious Champneys spa and world class entertainment from ted<\/em>, similar to its sister ship Marella Explorer.<\/p>\n

From May 2019 Marella Explorer 2 will sail from a new homeport of Naples, Italy and will sail to some of the finest European cities including Venice, Rome and Dubrovnik.<\/p>\n

The celebrations continued into the night with a crowd pleasing set from none other than BBC Radio 1\u2019s resident drive time DJ Nick Grimshaw.<\/p>\n

Rak-Su commented on the evening \u2018We had a great time being a part of the launch of Explorer 2. It was a party vibe all night and people are going to enjoy this ship!\u2019<\/p>\n

Marella Explorer 2 will be spending her first full winter season in Bridgetown, Barbados offering customers the choice of three fantastic itineraries with delightful destinations on offer such as St Lucia, Aruba and the Grenadines.<\/p>\n

Following the success of our adults only itineraries it seemed like the natural progression to offer our customers a ship exclusively for adults. It\u2019s really great to see that our customers are just as excited as we are. 80% of Marella Explorer 2\u2019s summer itineraries have already been booked!<\/em><\/p>\n
