Every time coming back to the hotel Waldorf Astoria Ras Al Khaimah , we more and more want to stay, or at least, extend our stay in it as long as possible. For us, the Waldorf Astoria Ras Al Khaimah has become not just a second home, it is already an integral part of our life and all team members team are our good friends. Only external appearance of this hotel says that each of its guests will be honored a truly Royal holiday. Elegant interior, huge and bright rooms, with a large list of all necessary accessories for a comfortable stay, a large variety of restaurants, cafes and bars, absolutely for every taste and preference, a wide and clean beach with azure water surface. All this is just a small list of advantages and benefits of the hotel ! But the main treasure of this hotel is undoubtedly the staff of the Waldorf Astoria. Precisely thanks to their professionalism since the very first minute of your stay in the hotel you will be surrounded by excellent service, special attention to each guest, sincere sensitivity and warmth! All this creates a special feeling of lightness and serenity, allowing you to forget about everything and just enjoy your stay in the hotel. I would like to Express my special gratitude and note the fantastic level of professionalism and responsibility of our personal Concierge Olga! Always smiling , caring, attentive and hospitable, she really makes every guest's stay full of pleasure and relaxation. Also I would like to note the really impressive work of the Duty Manager-Tintu. Thanks to his responsibility, professionalism and attention the service at the hotel is at the highest level! Many thanks to all members Front Office, Concierge and Guest Relations teams. Especially I would like to note excellent work, high level of professionalism, efficiency and advertence of Nikhil, Irina, Jessica, Coral, Major, Ahmed, Hussein, Andrew, Hamid and Ijas. Also I would like to note the highly professional work, efficiency and ability to always help their colleagues of the whole team F&B. Special thanks to always attentive Assistants manager F&B Chiara - just a charming person, Tarun and also to F&B Project Coordinator - Raghav. I would especially like to note the excellent work of Executive Chef Nicolas De Visch. Thanks to his talent and professionalism in all the restaurants of the hotel there are new and delicious transformations in many dishes and food direction . It's hard to put into words my gratitude to Chef Budi, Chef Ashan for your just fantastic sweets and pastries that you create with magical mastery, also for your attention, care and warm attitude! Many thanks to Banquet Manager - Farhad and entire team of Room service for excellent service, delicate attention and special care! I want to emphasize the professionalism and competence of the staff of the restaurant Qasr Al Bahar ! Every day all guests are treated with care, special, sensitive attention, always remembering their tastes and preferences and anticipating their wishes in advance. I would like to express special gratitude to Restaurant Manager- Ivan, his assistant Mukesh, to Arjay, Vinyas to Said and always attentive, hospitable and charming Megha, Baktygul and Abiha! As always, for us were unforgettable evenings spent over a Cup of tea and delicious desserts in my favorite cafe Camelia! About a month or so ago, we were staying at your beautiful property and truly had the best time we could have! However, one thing that truly stood out was our interaction with one Chef Subin. We ordered food from room service and it was simply the best room service meal we’ve had so my husband called to ask to meet the chef who prepared it and Chef Subin happily came to meet us and I was taken aback by how young and gracious he was. Such a chef is truly an asset to any company and I am sure he will go very far. The other day we went out for a seafood meal back home, but it did not meet our expectations at all as our expectations are forever doomed because we will always compare it to that lovely room service dinner chef Subin prepared for us. Please do pass our regards to the wonderful Chef! I created this account just to show appreciation for the lovely time we had and give encouragement to such outstanding talent and service. In September I was looking for a short break as I had 5 days off from work. I wanted some where were the weather was hot and also halal food as it was a pure relaxation break. My sister and I decided on Ras Al Khaimah as it ticked all the boxes. As soon as we decided the location I knew I wanted to stay at the Waldorf. Waldorf are known for their service and elegant hotels. After a over night flight and a hours drive from Dubai we arrived at the hotel about 1pm. The hotel entrance is very grand and we were welcomed by the valet staff who were very polite and welcoming. Upon check in we were told that the room was not ready and check in was at 3pm. I asked Olga if there was any chance we would be able to get our room as I was very tired from the over night flight plus drive from Dubai. She politely explained the room wasn’t ready however she could upgrade us to a golf view room that she had available then. As a ex hotelier this put me off a little, as I had explained to here how tired I was and instead of trying to up sell the room, if she had given us the room, it would have exceeded the customer experience.We declined and said we would wait. She did offer that we could go use the facilities but I was far to tired. She took out number and said would call as soon as the room was ready and that she had informed housekeeping to clean it ASAP. We initially decided to wait in the peacock lounge, this is one of the lounges the hotel offers. Very grand and opulent. After sitting there for 10 minutes, no one approached us to ask if we would like to order anything, it wasn’t busy and there were plenty of staff. Second disappointing experience. We decided to go the Al Hamra Mall to grab something to eat and kill some time. At about 3.30 I still hadn’t had a call to say the room was ready but we headed back to the hotel. When we approached the reception desk, I was told they were just about to call me to say the room was ready. The room had only got ready 10 minutes before we arrived back. I was told the luggage was all ready placed in the room. At this point I lost my cool, as we walked past our luggage at the entrance of the hotel. This is not the kind of service you would expect from a property of this type. I book hotels of this Calibre because I’m looking to be wowed by the service. We were finally showed to our a room, what can I say! The rooms are absolutely stunning, so spacious, so much natural light, great walking in wardrobe, huge bathrooms. The decor is very elegant and not in your face. The bad service was forgotten about, in fairness Olga was very polite through out and also looked after us extremely well after I had complained. She also arranged complimentary afternoon tea for us as apology. The hotel has some great facilities, two pools, one that is a adult only pool, private beach which has been maintained really well. Great spa were the treatments was really good. The also have a children’s area and have a kids club to, which makes it ideal for families. The offer a children’s programme were the children can go a be a hotelier for the day. I loved this idea! We were on a half board package so ate in the main buffet restaurant. Staff at the restaurant were exceptional, food was ok. Not the greatest but passable. We missed out on the Lebanese restaurant which smelt divine. It’s on the 16th floor with views of the sea. They also have steak restaurant and Japanese. House keeping were really good during the stay, they would leave the cutest figures made from towels. However when we got to the room the bathroom wasn’t cleaned properly and they had to come to re clean. Over all it’s a lovely property, great for a romantic get away, family holiday or pure RnR. Definitely would go again and recommend it. Feed back to the hotel is coach the staff to understand the customer, try and accommodate where you can. It shouldn’t get to a point the customer complains for them to get the service the booked you for.
