Disney's Yacht Club Resort really makes a splash. It's five minutes from Epcot, plus it's got its own lake and a three-acre wet-play area.
This place transports you to the seaside of New England, one of the earliest English settlements in America. It arches around a huge 25-acre lake, with a lighthouse sprouting from a jetty in its centre.
You can leave the real world behind when you stay at Disney’s Yacht Club Resort. Step into this enormous resort and you’ll find yourself in a harbour-side scene. The grounds are full of palm trees and water features, and the staff dress in navy blazers and captain’s hats.

Comfortable for a family of 5
Our family of five stayed in a Garden View Room for 10 nights in September 2017 and it was fantastic! The Beach Club Resort is perfect for families. The short walk into Epcot, the short boat ride to Hollywood Studios and the option to either catch a bus or walk to Epcot and catch a monorail to Magic Kingdom made getting around very easy. Stormalong Bay is the most spectacular resort pool ever and is open late enough to enjoy after a full day at the parks. The room was very comfortable, even with 5 of us staying in the same room. Our kids were 14, 11 and 9 at the time of the trip, so they were not small either. The food options at the resort were also great. We often had breakfast at Beach Club Marketplace, which was great value. The Cape May Cafe breakfast was a great experience and the Beaches and Cream Soda Shop was also great (huge portions, big enough to share between a few people).More
Location great avg accomodations
This is one of the best locations out of all the Disney resorts. You are within walking distance to Epcot (even older people) and the boat picks you up right outside the hotel to go to MGM. It is also extremely to get here from the airport which is a big plus. Right when you get off the plane they take your luggage straight to your hotel and you can hop on the shuttle with your family. I stayed in the club level and usually the staff there is extremely upbeat and helpful. They were a little slow this time and did not seem to be their normal selves. I think this hotel needs to be updated as it is getting a little old. I have been here 4 times and this time seemed to be the worst. The rooms were just fine and will hopefully be updated soon. Depending on the location of your room it can be a little loud as well. We had a pool view so there was a bit of music but that could be expected. If you have young kids you may want to get a room on the other side away form the pool for naps.More
Stayed in October 2017 in a 4th floor room overlooking the quiet pool. Absolutely loved the location- despite being at full capacity we never heard a sound at night. Staying with young adult son we enjoyed the quiet pool, hot tub and easy access to Epcot for touring and meals. We also walked to Hollywood Studios (about 20 minutes). This hotel is the best location for travelers who do not intend to spend much time in the Magic Kingdom. We did spend a full day at Animal Kingdom but travelled there by uber (in lieu of free bus). There was a decent gym equipped with towels and water. The hotel is spotless as was the room. Everyone who worked there was friendly however I found the front desk personnel in general to be uninformed about basics with respect to park times, firework events, bus transportation, etc. unless they had a brochure handy. The room was very disappointing. Despite having been spruced up a few years ago the furniture and bath fixtures were equivalent of a 3 star hotel. Clean and comfortable bed but no amenities. There was not even a shower cap or robes. While we did call housekeeping and asked for missing toiletry items and turn down, we believe at over $500 per night these items should have been a given. No robes or slippers were provided nor any luxury end bath amenities. I probably would stay at the Beach Club again but maybe go when prices are more in line with room quality. Perhaps the Boardwalk would be a better value.More
Great Location, not Deluxe accomodations
This was my fourth time visiting a Disney resort and my second time to a deluxe property. As many other reviewers stated, the location of this hotel is amazing. You are able to walk to Epcot and Hollywood Studios (or take a boat). Not having to take a bus almost justifies the price you pay for this hotel. I found the customer service at this property to be subpar compared to other Disney properties. At all of the other resorts I've stayed at there is a greeter welcoming you to the hotel when the magical express arrives. This location did not have anyone outside to welcome you or directing you to reception (if necessary). It wasn't a big deal, but it seemed to set the tone for the rest of the customer service experiences at this location. The check-in process was average, nothing exceptional or negative about the experience. Our room wasn't ready, so we planned to visit the pool. The pool at this location is shared with the Yacht Club and it's huge. There is a large slide, lazy river and multiple sections to the pool (with sand on the bottom). Overall, the pool wasn't crowded and there were lounge chairs available. We used the pool three of the seven days we were at Disney. The experience was rather similar at each visit. The second visit we wanted to order poolside food/drinks, but a server was not to be found anywhere. On the third visit a server did approach us, the food and drinks came out quickly, but the buffalo chicken wrap I ordered was ice cold. We had the most problems with our room & housekeeping. We stayed in room 4608 which was very easy to find after exiting the main elevators. The room had two double beds and a full sized balcony overlooking a garden/walkway. The room decorations were similar to any standard hotel (Hilton, Marriott etc.) There wasn't much Disney theming and though they advertised a refurbishment recently, it didn't appear that our room was updated. There were small rips & marks on the wallpaper in the bathroom & near the television. The lights on the balcony and in the shower were out. I requested them to be changed, but only the bathtub light was replaced. The sinks were draining slowly and I called to request this issue to be resolved too. It was fine for three days, and then started again. The biggest problem was housekeeping. The toiletries and coffee supplies were not replaced until I requested more on the third day of our trip. Luckily, they delivered multiple bottles of soap etc., because they were never replaced by housekeeping. The sheets on our beds were not replaced for the entire trip. I know this because there was a stain (under my pillows) for the entire trip. Also, there was a napkin or tissue on the floor (from a previous guest) that was never cleaned. I can only assume that housekeeping emptied garbage, replaced towels and made the beds back up the whole trip. It was very disappointing because I expected a higher level of service for deluxe resort. Overall, the location was the best part of this property, but if you are looking for deluxe service worthy of the price you are paying, I’d stay somewhere else. I know that my party will not be staying at the Beach Club for our next trip.More
It was everything we hoped it would be!
As 5th floor guests at this magnificent resort, we experienced some of the finest that Disney has to offer. All of the cast members provided super outstanding service. In the lounge, cast members Sierra and Alex were extremely helpful, warm, gracious hosts. The chef was the greatest. The chef went above and beyond to prepare special treats to accommodate a food allergy. The pool area was magnificent. It is a large pool area featuring pools of different depths to accommodate guest of any height. The resort is just a few minutes walk away from the back door of Epcot. The rooms were great. Comfortable beds. Good air conditioning allowed us to get the rooms to the temperature where we were comfortable. Good showers. More
