Disney's Grand Floridian Resort & Spa

Our family loves Disney and are always impressed with the service and attention to detail. Our recent visit was at the Grand Floridian and it was above and beyond what we have experienced before. In fact we were so impressed I wrote the following email to the following email to the GF General Manager: Dear Cosmo Kapoor, My wife and I, along with our two small children, stayed at the Grand Floridian and I have to say that I was completely impressed.  We are annual pass holders and visit Disney at least a few times a year and drive from our home in Naples, Florida.  We typically choose Art of Animation because of the family suites but thought we would splurge this visit and enjoy the GF as my wife stayed there with her family when she was a child and had fond memories while I had never stayed there.   From the time we arrived, with the bell service opening our car door using our names, to the time we left, with the bell service assisting with our bags and entertaining our kids and helping load our luggage in our car, it was nothing but exceptional.   I manager a private country club and appreciate exceptional customer service and use of technology to exceed expectations and GF did this to the fullest extent.  EVERY Cast Member was nothing but courteous and looking for ways to exceed our expectations.  When the bell man saw we had a child's cot with our luggage he asked if they could get us extra sheets...that is awesome service...looking for ways to address concerns before the guest even knows them!   The service at 1900 Park Fare and at the Perfectly Princess Tea Party was awesome.  Lifetime memories were made for our family.  The maintenance of the grounds and the buildings was top notch.  The building next door was being painted and the lift being used was always buffered with temp walls.  The trash cans are pure white and never once did I notice a spot on the cans or even on the inner lip of the container...that is exceptional maintenance.   The view of the Magic Kingdom fireworks filled our room's window...it was simply amazing!  We opted to watch the fireworks from the resort instead of trying to stay late at the park to see them and it was nothing short of awesome.  It appeared that there was many locations throughout the resort with great Magic Kingdom fireworks views but during the three nights we were there our family insisted on watching from our room because of the fantastic view! I can't say enough and to emphasize our tremendous satisfaction I will post the above to Trip Advisor. Thanks again, Jones Family Enjoying GF room 5341 from 8/29 thru 9/1 By the way, room 5341 has some of the most amazing fireworks views from Magic Kingdom...and it does cost a little more as its in an "outer building with park views" but it is SO WORTH IT!

This was our second stay and we regularly stay on Disney property when we come to Orlando but this is our favourite location. The atmosphere is beautiful, relaxing and magical - wonderful for children and adults alike. The rooms are large and have all you need. The grounds are beautiful and house some of the best restaurants in Disney, including Narcoosees where you can dine while watching Wishes fireworks over the MK Castle across the lake. The food hall, in the form of Gasparillos, is one of the better ones with good choices (and sitting outside looking at the MK Castle across the boats and lake is always nice). The pools are very nice and have lots of space. Access to the Polynesian next-door via a gentle lakeside 5 minute walk for the Spirt of Aloha Show or breakfast at Kona's; to the nearby Contemporary via a 5 minute monorail for a Chef Mickey's breakfast and watching fireworks over dinner at the California Grill; and to the Magic Kingdom, whenever you feel like it, via a 2 minute monorail ride is amazing and a major pull for the Grand Floridian. We had a very noisy couple of nights with rowdy neighbours, which the front desk soon resolved (and could not have done more, which is always something Disney do well) and if I had a slight criticism it would be the sometimes too-obvious presence of conference users and wedding parties which occasionally make it feel like you are not in a holiday setting. Still such things cannot outweigh the 5 star setting and service!

We stayed here for 4 nights and we had the most magical stay. The bedrooms are quite spacious. Nice pool and we hired a boat one of the days and went around the lake which gives you views of Cinderella's Castle.. every evening you have great views of the fireworks from the hotel. We had an issue with booking dinner reservations on our first night so I would advise to book in advance but the hotel did apologise for that and sorted us out for the rest of our stay. We look forward to staying in this hotel in the future.
