There’s a restaurant that serves breakfast and lunch, and a cocktail bar takes care of drinks and light bites throughout the day. You’ve also got access to a fitness centre with a lap pool, and a gym.
FOOD & DRINK
Kick off the day at the Brasserie 1605 buffet. You can load up your plate with an American breakfast of pancakes topped with bacon and maple syrup, or stick to fresh fruit, cereals and pastries. It runs until 11.30am, so you won’t miss out if you’re a late riser.
Lunch is served at Brasserie 1605, overlooking the bustle of Broadway and the bright lights of Times Square. The menu covers off soups, salads and sandwiches, as well as larger plates like grilled rib-eye steaks. The lounge bar, Broadway 49, also serves light bites between 11.30am and 11.30pm.
- Brasserie 1605
This place is open daily for breakfast and lunch, and it specialises in American cuisine. There are also a few Asian dishes to choose from, including some Chinese options in the breakfast buffet. Perhaps the best thing about this place, though, is the views of Times Square and Broadway.
- Broadway 49 Bar & Lounge
This is a great place to relax after a day of sightseeing, looking out over Times Square. There's a huge choice of cocktails on the menu, as well as several different wines. You can also dine here for lunch and dinner. The menu consists of mostly American cuisine.
HEALTH & BEAUTY
The gym is run by New York Sports Club. It goes above and beyond your usual hotel gym – it’s kitted out with up-to-the-minute weight training equipment and cardio machines. Classes like yoga, pilates and total body conditioning are on offer, and there are steam rooms and saunas to relax in post-workout.
- New York Sports Club
The gym here is the largest in Times Square. It's got loads of machines and equipment for weight and cardio training, and there's a number of classes available, including yoga and pilates. There's even a swimming pool here, too.
The bartenders at Broadway 49 mix up a long list of signature cocktails. After a day’s sightseeing, chill out on a sofa with a speciality drink like the Milky Way Martini – chocolate and vanilla vodkas blended with butterscotch schnapps and shaken with whipped cream.
This hotel’s Broadway postcode means you’re a stone’s throw from some of the city’s most highly acclaimed shows, like Chicago, School of Rock and the Lion King.
Take a dip in the pool* up on the 15th floor. It’s a lap pool, so it’s ideal for proper swimming. If you’re travelling with children that like to make a splash, you can book a lane in advance. Just so you know, swimming caps are compulsory.
