    Hotel Spinne is an attractive, well-renovated hotel in the centre of the village.

    With wonderful views of the Wetterhorn and Eiger, a modern wellness area and excellent food, the Spinne is a fantastic base for your holiday. It’s located right in the centre of Grindelwald, just a short stroll to the Grindelwald First gondola, train station, and bus stop.

    Just so you know, upon arriving in Grindelwald, the hotel is approximately 400m from the station. The hotel offers a shuttle service from the station during reception opening hours.

    Also, bathing costumes are not permitted in the wellness area.

    Please note that safety standards around balconies, railings and public walkways are different in Switzerland and may be lower or have ornamental features that you wouldn’t see in the UK or Ireland.
    For your own safety and that of everyone you’re travelling with, please make sure you take care not to lean on or over any railings. If you have children under 12 years, please make sure they’re supervised and not left alone at any time.

    The Hotel Spinne is located in the heart of Grindelwald. It's a short walk to many restaurants and shops and also to the gondola for hiking and the bobsled ride. We really enjoyed the spa area, very well-appointed with a great sauna, steam room, and infinity pool and even a "glacier walk" thro0ugh ice cold water! A breakfast buffet was included in our stay and had plenty of good things to eat. Overall, I would recommend staying at Hotel Spinne.

    It was pleasant to stay there. Pool and spa were good. Just didn’t want to give 5 star because there were some little issues such as no robes in the room ( you suppose to have ) ..etc Staff were super nice. Specially at the restaurant. After I visited a few hotels in town I figured this hotel is the best deal. You will not regret.

    From Beginning to End, our stay at The Hotel Spinne was Fantastic. The hotel is perfectly situated to showcase amazing scenery. Whither at Dinner or when just waking up in the morning, you will be greeted by the mountains from any viewpoint. Hotel Staff were friendly, The restaurant Manager was extremely efficient. Having worked in restaurants, it was fun to stand back and watch someone run a really efficient operation, even if i was only there for dinner. Breakfast and Meals offered a good selection. We were half board and there was something different on offer everyday. The staff even adapted the menu slightly due to my partner being lactose intolerant. They quickly changed things on request and without question. Every morning you are greeted with a smile and a cup of coffee. The hot chocolate was my favorite, however, i wasn't cheeky enough to ask for a few sachets to take home, but i did take a note of it and i will order it online :) The rooms were very spacious, and looked directly onto the mountains... What a sight to wake up to......... The SPA was a nice touch to relax at the end of the evening. There is so many activities to do around this hotel..... it is perfectly situated between the mountains allowing you to go up a different mountain each day and do something different. I would definitely recommend this hotel and i will most likely go back again as i will defiantly be going back to visit Grindelwald in the future.

    We booked the room with Eiger mountain view. We were firstly assigned to a room at the basement which you can access to the little outdoor space facing the Eiger, however the room interior was quite dark. And we changed our room to the 1st floor with a balcony on the second day. This room is much better to us, we can open the window wide and the view is absolutely stunning! Don't forget to visit the swimming pool and spa area, so many surprise and the view of infinity pool is super!

    Only one person to check you in who is also the concierge, so we had to wait first for her to help others with travel plans and then as we started to check she was interrupted by a member of Management who took her away from finally checking us in to work on something else. That should not happen. The housekeeping staff missed things in cleaning the room and breakfast was just ok. I get the location demands a premium price but it was overpriced for what you got.
