food in the dining room very poor. Chicken and fish every day, cold food, breakfast, lunch and dinner had to be warmed up in the microwave, ice cream, jelly, rice pudding everyday, NO cakes, the only good thing was the salads, even the potatoes tasted like fish. Dining room staff very rude. Food lets the hotel down

Staff were lovely, and hotel was clean but dated. Weather was terrible at the end of April but not the hotels fault. However, it was like being in a Spanish care home, full Spanish pensioners who with a few exceptions were ignorant. The food was barely edible and lukewarm, but I suspect this was managements fault for working on a low budget rather than the chef's fault. There was only one bar which was by the pool so even when it was throwing it down you still had to go outside to get a drink. By and large the entertainment was geared up to the Spanish, which is understandable as they were in the majority. We had our 11 year old son with us and there was hardly anything to do for him, air hockey and pool and the occasional dip in the freezing pool, I expected with it being Easter there would have been more children there but this wasn't the case. On a positive note I can't praise the staff enough they were all nice, it would not have been too bad if there was something on the TV but this was just limited to news channels - never again.

Stayed here for a week at the end of April, and okay, so this hotel is not perfect but for what we paid I haven’t any real complaints. We had a sea view room (room 509) which was basic and dated but it was clean. AC for the summer months, a safe and a small flat screen TV (not that we watch TV on holiday) plus a pretty decent sized mirrored wardrobe. Theres a spacious bathroom, and although that also looks a bit dated it was clean and the shower was pretty powerful. It’s well positioned for the beach and not far to walk to the centre of Torremolinos. If you’re heading for the beach or the sea front, go out of the gate at the back of the hotel grounds and not out of the main door. To get back in place your key card in the slot and at the same time push the handle on the right hand gate (it was surprising how many guests couldn’t do this). Okay back to the hotel, so it was full of Spanish people......get used to it, you’re in Spain! As for them being seniors, aren’t they allowed to take a holiday?! The ones we spoke to (and we spoke to a lot) were friendly and polite. It was also great to watch them dance every evening to the Spanish music (they got quite competitive at times). There were a few other nationalities and all were friendly and smiling. The worst people we came across were two older English men (maybe around 70) who were an embarrassment to listen to. Shouting at the barman to hurry up and serve them (they thought they didn’t have to queue) and just in general complaining very loudly about everything including other guests. On a brighter note the hotel staff were lovely.........although the skinny blonde in the restaurant who shouted at me for helping myself to a drink (because she didn’t know I was all inclusive) probably needs to brush up on her customer service skills. The bar was situated outside as I don’t think they open the inside one till later in the season. Although it’s the first time we’ve come across this we managed fine. The food in the restaurant was average for a 3 star hotel and we always found plenty we liked. The only thing we didn’t like the look of was the cooked breakfast, but there was plenty of breads, cheeses, meat, cereal, fruit and yogurt etc. I also found the coffee not to my taste but my other half said he thought it was fine (maybe I’m fussy). Lunch and dinner was a good choice of hot and cold food and we found plenty we liked. I will add that if you or maybe kids are fussy eaters you may struggle a bit. All in all I’d say it’s a good 3 star hotel. Not many facilities for kids but it doesn’t advertise facilities for kids. The pool was freezing, but aren’t they all in Spain? Would we come here again? Yes, because it’s bl00dy cheap and cheerful for an Easter getaway.
