Vila Gale Lagos

We have recently returned home from Lagos as we were married at a different venue which was amazing. We had booked to stay here as bride and groom along with our wedding party of over 40. I was and am disappointed with everything to be honest. Upon check in we were allocated rooms with a terrible view- I am aware as to what we booked however the hotel were aware we were the bride and groom and I do believe that the handling of this from a female Manager was an absolute disgrace as I was already stressed out as my wedding was fast approaching. She had advised she could not provide us with an upgrade as our party had booked these view rooms specifically which was not the case as they had never booked for sea views. It was pretty disheartening to know that the bride and groom had the worst rooms. Secondly our venue was across the road from the venue which meant a short walk to the hotel however the hotel Decided to lock this gate which meant all my guests had a 25 minute walk back to the hotel that night due to the hotels lack of awareness- no empathy again from a male receptionist. As the hotel knew that we were not happy I truly believed that we would arrive back to our hotel room to a bottle of champagne/roses anything!!!! Just no nice touched at all from the hotel and very impersonal. Also pool bar food and service was shocking. Ants crawling on tables in restaurant and all ground floor rooms- staff member explained what do You expect you are in a hot country. As a bride and groom we had spent a lot of money with this hotel and they added stress rather than making our time special. Up your game Vila Gale.

We stayed here for 10 nights in May. Initially we were not overjoyed with the view from our room, it was beautiful, but we wanted a view that gave us more of a holiday vibe. Thanks to Valter, who made it possible for us to move to a more suitable room, which really made our stay special! Breakfast was great, great choice, food very fresh and the lady and man on the omelette station do a great job! The main pool is lovely and the kids pool area is great! Enjoyed our stay and thanks again to Valter!

We thoroughly enjoyed this hotel. Very spacious and in good condition. 15 min walk to the marina. Right opposite the beach. Food and drink prices were very reasonable. Excellent outdoor pool. No tea or coffee making equipment in the rooms was a small detail and unfortunately as they were busy we couldn’t pay to have a late check out ( standard time was 12) Happy to stay there again when we return.
