Holidays to Business Bay put you bumper-to-bumper with the best of Dubai’s attractions, including the city’s biggest mall and the world’s tallest building.
On the rise
Business Bay’s one of the city’s newer districts – circa late-Noughties. As such, it’s even more glistening than the Dubai norm. The area’s made up of a collection of skyscrapers, and the main tenants are top businesses and posh hotels. It’s got some high-profile neighbours, too – you’ll see the Burj Khalifa piercing the sky wherever you look.
The high-rise skyline doesn’t stop with the Burj Khalifa. Business Bay’s got a couple of its own landmarks to name-check. There’s the JW Marriott Marquis Hotel Dubai, which holds the crown for the world’s tallest hotel. Plus, you can admire the unusual architecture of some of the area’s commercial towers. Iris Bay’s shaped like a crescent moon, the Omniyat’s got a huge hole in its middle, while the O-14 looks like a giant slice of Emmental.
Close to the action
Nestled next to Downtown Dubai, Business Bay isn’t short of attractions. You’re a five-minute drive from The Dubai Mall and its 1,200 shops, aquarium and ice rink. This is also where you’ll find the Dubai Fountain, which comes alive with choreographed jets of water set to music. If you want the best view of it all, make sure you head up the Burj Khalifa – Dubai’s record-breaking masterpiece.
