Hotel Malcesine

Stayed for 7 nights in July 2019, the hotel is comfortable enough although a little dated. The real prize with this hotel is the lakeside restaurant, it’s physically attached to the hotel but is operated independently. We dined there every night and the food and service were fantastic. Every meal was beautifully cooked and nicely presented. The 10% discount for hotel guests was an added bonus. We would definitely stay here again.

Spent a lovely week here on a Tui holiday package. A family run hotel right on the shore overlooking Lake Garda. The room we had at the back of the hotel had a balcony with chairs overlooking the mountains, a side window with a glimpse of the lake. It was kept really clean all week long by the staff. Comfy beds and clean white towels provided. TV, ceiling fan and safe. Continental breakfast was provided 8 to 10 each day in the restaurant, with a good selection of meats, cheeses, breads, cereals, juices and hot drinks. I would love to have been offered fresh fruits and plain yoghurts, only tinned fruit provided and one flavoured yoghurt. A bit predictable, but well presented and sufficient. Spoilt for choice for meals out in Malcesine, so nobody will go home hungry! A special mention goes to the fabulous terrace over the lake with tables, chairs and sunbeds. Steps down into the clear lake, most welcome to cool off in the hot weather. Take rubber shoes to get into the water to swim, rocky underfoot. The bar provides drinks,pizza or toasties most of the day. If you are a light sleeper you could be disturbed by the road at the back of the hotel, but saying that, you really can't go wrong staying here, right in the heart of the resort with so many things to see and do. The staff all work hard to make your stay enjoyable.

This hotel is situated on the lakeside right next to the boat docks. Although the rooms are small and dated, they are cleaned daily. The staff are extremely friendly, nothings too much trouble. The food is really good and plentiful and the husband and wife team in the restaurant can't do enough to help, they were great when we needed food outside open hours. Malcesine is a great resort with lots to do locally and on every boat timetable.
