The Vakarufalhi Island Resort has a restaurant and a bar, plus a spa that offers massages and beauty treatments. You can work out in a gym, or go scuba diving, snorkelling and kayaking in the Indian Ocean.

Scuba sessions are on the cards thanks to the PADI-approved diving centre. The surrounding reef's home to colourful schools of fish and caves. Head out on a daytrip*, and you'll see even more sea life at the nearby dive sites.
Snorkelling in the clear-as-glass waters around the hotel is easy. You can also hire windsurfing* gear and kayaks, or join a jaunt out to sea on a catamaran*.

FOOD & DRINK
The main restaurant, Ilaa, sits under a thatched roof beside the white-sand beach. Buffet-style spreads are laid out, with a mix of European, North African and Asian cuisine on offer.
To dial up the romance, book a candlelit dinner on the waterfront. You'll have your meal cooked tableside, while the sun sets in the background.
