High points at the Be Live Experience Playa la Arena include a garden setting, a first-rate pool scene, and close proximity to a volcanic beach.
Leafy, well-maintained gardens dominate the grounds of this hotel. It only takes a few minutes to walk down a path towards a black-sand beach. The centre of Playa de la Arena is a 15-minute walk away.
The décor here is really impressive. The huge, high-ceilinged lobby is draped in hanging vines and has a sweeping main staircase. Modern rooms, meanwhile, are styled in pastel tones.

Nice hotel with bad food
The hotel very nicely located, all rooms with ocean view (some better some worse). Hotel is huge what is OK in November but must be unbearable in summer. Room was nice and spacious with a big terrace, a pity that there were no plants even though the place for them was ready. Reception staff nice and very helpful. Nice swimming pools but the pool area is very tight. The neighbouring beach is small but very nice, with black vulcanic sand. These were the good things.... Now the food - total disaster! For a 4* hotel completely unacceptable. Big big disappointment. First of all someone has that strange idea that each dinner = different cuisine. Secondly the cook must be no good with very poor taste. Food either overcooked or undercooked, tasteless or extremely salty, always cold. So we had Indian night which was awfull, Mexican - similar, even Japanese with something that pretend to be sushi. All these in Tenerife with such good offers of the Canarian and Spanish cuisine. Only Spanish night was acceptable. Very disappointing. But despite the food we still had a very good stay and enjoyed Tenerife very much. More
Amazing time away
Stayed here from the 3rd November for 11 nights, to celebrate my parents 50th wedding anniversary. Beautiful rooms, and staff were accommodating and friendly. Plenty of activites to be involved with, whether you are a child or adult. I'm not one to be involved in activities on holiday, but Lisanne Veltman, who led the aqua gym, was very motivational and managed to get me along to all aqua gym sessions, whatever age you are, you will enjoy this activity. Lisanne, would go out of her way to talk with us in the evenings, which presented her caring side. Waterfalls at the bottom of the hotel, is an outstanding feature. Hotel is close to the beach, which is easily accessible, even in a wheelchair. Food was lovely, and a theme night changes from day to day. The most relaxing holiday I have had for years.More
Superb hotel, well situated.
A top quality hotel from all points of view, friendly staff, good food, plenty do and well situated on the island for visits. Close to a good beach and a small resort with shops, baths and restaurants and not far from the port of Los Gigantes with boat trips to go whale watching and a diving club and other water sports such as jet skiing.More
Great hotel. Relaxing break.
Stayed here 5th -12th November, room 516, nice quiet room, weather was fantastic. The hotel is clean & easy to get around. A huge reception area with comfortable chairs/sofa's .Comfortable sun loungers & plenty of them. There is a great choice of food here & if it is a little on the cold side there are microwaves around the dining room for your use. It's very hilly if you go out the front of the hotel , but if you go to the back of the hotel past the pools you will find a lift to take you down to road level, all you need is your room card to put in the slot to allow you to open the gate.More
Lovely Experience Fantastic entertainment.
We stayed at this hotel in November 2017. Rooms were very clean and towels were changed daily. Entertainment The animation team was fantastic. Particularly the beactive team. Activities take place from 11am-1pm then 3pm-5pm. They are optional but i think to get the best out of the holiday it was best to take part. We did Archery, air rifle shooting, cocktail making, pool side games, aquaaerobics, mini golf and table tennis. In the evening there was a pre-show usually involving audience participation, followed by an award ceremony then a main show wich was either local acrobatics, magicians etc or the animation teams variety show. The variety show was very good you can tell the animation team puts a lot of time in to practicing their dances. Food There was a good variety. Some things were not to my taste as you could taste the oils they cook with but as there was so much to choose from there was always something suitable. One issue i felt was the flys, we sat inside most days to avoid them but as the doors were left open to the main restaurant and the pool bar there was always flys buzzing around you when you are eating and sometimes you would see them sitting on the buffet so this is an area that needs improving. Overall I would come back, the animation team were so welcolming and friendly. We will be bringing home lots of happy memories. 😀❤ More
