    Thanks to its clifftop spot, the Royal Sun Suites specialises in sweeping sea views. The pool and sun terraces provide the best panoramas, and ocean-view rooms are the norm, too.

    These cliffside apartments offer dramatic views over Los Gigantes’ village and marina – a launching point for whale watching boat trips. A short downhill stroll will bring you to a beach and the town centre, while the Blue Flag Playa de la Arena beach is a five-minute drive.

    Each apartment boasts a well-equipped kitchen and a 40-inch plasma TV. A large terrace also comes as standard, bringing views of the cliffs and the horizon right to your front room.

    I had done a lot of research prior to our December visit to Tenerife, both about the resort and about Los Gigantes itself. The reviews were very helpful and accurate..... the Royal Sun certainly does have an exceptional location with magnificent views over the town, marina and cliffs and on a clear day La Gomera looks stunning. The facilities are excellent and the buffet breakfast on the terrace was a great way to start the day. We did find information about both on site restaurants hard to find however. Perhaps a more detailed leaflet showing menus could be part of the welcome pack in the rooms? Los Gigantes itself is very attractive with many reasonably priced bars and restaurants. We took the bus to Costa San Juan to visit the Wednesday market and did the Whale and Dolphin two hour trip from the harbour. Both worth doing and the latter very reasonably priced although we only saw a few dolphins. Would my wife and I stay at the Royal Sun again? Yes, most definitely! We have visited other parts of Tenerife before but this was certainly our favourite spot. I would also recommend trips to Mt. Teide and to Masca.

    Beautiful views, friendly staff, lovely seletion for breakfasts. Room well equipped: Hair dryer, iron, ironing board,dishwasher. Large balcony, decent size bedroom, large lounge and well equipped kitchen. Nice swimming pool and sun bathing area. I highly recommend this hotel.

    We went toTenerife on 29/12 /2019 For one week stayed in Los Gigantes about 45 minutes from Tenerife south Airport we stayed at Royal Sun Resort Brilliant location very modern rooms are bright and roomy with huge balcony lovely sea viewRooms Los Gigantes is hilly but beautiful plenty of good restaurants Liam

    Stayed at Royal Sun Resort los Gigantes Tenerife December 2019. Fantastic holiday, staff so friendly and attentive. New Year's Eve was a super night. Really enjoyed our holiday at Royal Sun Celebrated our sons 18th birthday there. The Aqua restaurant in Royal Sun went out of their way to make sure our son enjoyed his special celebration. The food this year was superb, a great selection at breakfast and dinner. Catering for adults and children alike. New Year's Eve was very special, no expnse sparrd by the hotel to make it a memorable night

    We went for my husband’s 60th Birthday, the room we were original given had an issue but we were moved without fuss to an alternative room. All rooms have a kitchen, living room and bedroom with a large balcony which over looked the sea, the view was amazing. Cannot fault the food, breakfast and evening meal was lovely, with an option of the daily specials of sirloin steak, fish of the day etc cooked to your taste and freshly done. All staff are welcoming and helpful. I ordered a cake, cava, balloons for my husband’s birthday surprise and the homemade cake was delicious. The New Year’s Eve Gala was a 5 course meal served with wine etc and was excellent, wish we could have seen the Magician better but we were too far away, would have been ideal if he could have been in the centre of the festivities, at midnight the fireworks display from the village below was fab to watch. The shows for some reason are not supported much but we enjoyed the parrot show, perhaps the stage also could have more decoration over the Xmas period as the display by the entrance was fab and well presented. The hill is a long way up but to us it was well worth the walk up and down but taxis are reasonable. Lidl close by. I would say difficult if you had a disability walking, the bus stops as near to the hotel as possible but you have to take your cases up a slope yourself, a suggestion would be to have someone to greet the bus and help the less abled. Los Gigantes is the quiet part so a lot quieter which we liked. Had a fab time and hope to return in the near future
