    A recent facelift has brought the Melia Jardines del Teide into the 21st century. It’s got a huge pool with views across the Atlantic Ocean, too.

    The name of this place translates to “gardens of Teide”, and it’s easy to see why. The grounds are peppered with palm trees and neatly-clipped lawns. The interiors are in great shape after a recent renovation, too.

    If you want to get out and about the nearest beach is just 15 minutes’ walk away. Back at base, the food gets great reviews on TripAdvisor and there are a couple of bars to choose from.

The suites are also kitted out with air-conditioning, a flatscreen TV, a minibar*, a safe - deposit payable, make-up mirror and a hairdryer. Adults get bathrobes and slippers, too.

      These junior suites are one of 'The Level' rooms which means they have a range of premium features.     Not a five star hotel and food was not great at all we had go out to eat rest of the hols. Many people in the hotel also complained. However, location was good and the hotel it’s very nice with nice swimming pools
    Excellent care service

    The staff at the hotel were excellent and service offered was great. However the hotel had no sauna, steam rooms or Jacuzzi. I found noise level at night quite high from the live bands. Room doors had no peep holes which I thought was a bit unsafe
    The climb up a steep hill,is worth it for the views

    Great views over Las America's/Purto Colon (especially from bar and restaurant) Breakfast pretty decent, and as I have already mentioned Fransisco makes great omleletts and has very good interaction with guests which some of his colleagues lack.The bar lacks atmosphere and the artists are generally pretty average.
    Lovely hotel but not great for solo travellers

    I am currently spending a week at this hotel. It is an unusual layout which gives lovely views over Costa Adeje from the terrace.The staff are generally friendly and helpful.I am on half board and there is a good choice of food at breakfast and dinner, though not keen on the sausages at breakfast. Plenty of other options though such as omelettes made to order. However I am in room 821. Do avoid rooms here. It is clean and spacious but it gets no sun and is quite chilly at this time of year, even with the air con turned off which was all reception could suggest. It is at the side of the hotel over the delivery area for the kitchen so quite noisy, despite me requesting a quiet room. I asked about upgrading. I could the level service but would have been in the same room. Or I could have a seaview for e80 per night for 7 nights. Traveling solo I had already paid a supplement for single occupancy. This was just excessive so I am staying put. I am sure there are many nice rooms, just check where yours is.

    We’ve stayed a this hotel for the 2nd time. Although we’ve never eat or stayed at the swimming pool as we’ve had friends at the baia del duque were we’ve spend our time during the day and evenings. This hotel has all the needed facilities of a 4 star hotel.
