The luxurious Sheraton La Caleta Resort & Spa lines up a trio of pools and four restaurants.
This place has snapped up a picturesque spot in the exclusive Costa Adeje area. You get panoramic views of the mountains in one direction. Wander the opposite way through the grounds, meanwhile, and you’ll come to the beach.
The complex is really colourful. Green palms and shrubs are spread among terracotta buildings and turquoise pools. Bedrooms, meanwhile, come with all-marble bathroom suites.

Nice family hotel
Had a great week at Sheraton. Rooms were a good size and the food in all resteraunts were very good especially Venta. Breakfast was nice and open till 11 which is very handy. My daughter loved the play area and the heated pool. Only negative was are shower had a leak which meant everytimr we used it the corridor would get wet but this could be cleaned up with a towel. On the whole a lovely week.More
Get a club room
Great stay at Sheraton La Caleta. La Caleta My favourite place in the island. It has authentic restaurants and is quiet, it is situated in a quiet bay. (La Calleja is my favourite restaurant). You can get straight onto the promenade from the back of the hotel and either walk right to la Caleta or left to playa de las Americas (papagayo beach bar is my other favourite) Check-in Friendly but yes they do make a bit too much of a deal about cucumber water. Room We learnt during our stay that deluxe rooms are on floors -1 and 0, premium rooms are on floors 1 and 2, club rooms are on floors 3,4 and suites on floor 5. Knowing this we would book a club room in future. Our room was on floor 2 and did not have an "inspiring" view of the sea but a huge view of the bar roof and the sea could be glimpsed between the trees. We could not see the pool. It did not feel like a premium room. In their defence, they offered us another premium room on floor 1 out of the side of the building but we chose to stick where we were as did not want hassle of moving. The alternative room did have a better sea view but we would have heard the entertainment from the Riu hotel in that room. Balcony Good size. Two chairs and a table. We had sun on it from morning through to early afternoon. A couple of Sunloungers would have been preferable but it did job. I think higher rated rooms have loungers and chairs. Bathroom Perfect. Two sinks, separate shower, big bath tub, bigger than our bathroom at home. Lots of fluffy towels. Bed Two singles pushed together so had that annoying ridge. 4/5 comfy but not perfect. I had to swap sides with husband as mine had a divot just in wrong place for me. Mini bar Free to put in what you wanted. Perfect. Supermarket just a few mins away. Breakfast Perfect. Huge choice. Eggs, pancakes, porridge, fresh orange juice, fresh bread, cakes, honey, jam.....we loved it. Well organised, never looked like they were running out even if you went down at 10.30 (breakfast runs 7-11). Lunch Ok, bit pricey, personally I would walk to La Calleja for a better quality, better priced meal. Dinner We did not partake. Swimming pool Great towel service, lots of sun beds. One pool is heated, other isn't. Only plea would be to keep pool open until sundown. Spa You get one spa entry if you are staying more than a few days. If you get a treatment longer than 30 mins you also get access. We had a great couples massage, not cheap but not London prices either. The staff were very good and knew what they were doing. We went a second time as it was so good. We would return but would book a club room. More
Definitely not a 5* Hotel
We stayed at the Sheraton from 28th Oct – 4th Nov 2017 on a b&b basis, booked via Jet2 Holidays having chosen the Indulgent Escape package which included private transfers to and from the airport which was very good. At hotel check in we were offered a glass of cucumber water in a dirty glass at first, which was changed once noticed, however we are used to a classier refreshment upon arrival such as Prosecco… other than that check in was relatively smooth and easy going Room had a generous layout with good amenities and traditional décor, the air conditioning system seemed tired and in need of an upgrade as it really didn’t make any difference for the first 5 days, also the safe was faulty and would not lock, we notified the hotel reception who informed us an engineer would be along to see to it and the air-con. After two engineer visits and over an hour later the safe issue was resolved but they said the air-con is as it is?.. No facilities for airing clothes on the balcony. There was only one small bottle of water left in the room on day of arrival and no other welcome tokens, room cleaned daily but can honestly say it didn’t feel spotless as a 5* should First day breakfast, no advice given as to procedures ie: waiting at entrance to be seated and as no one manning the desk we assumed we seated ourselves which we did then to be told by a member of waiting staff we had to report to the desk, by which time a queue had been formed. The head of restaurant front desk then escorted us to a table in a harassed and unfriendly manner which was the same for the rest of the holiday, unless you go for breakfast before 8am then you will have a chaotic experience. Buffet breakfast was average but definitely not 5*, if you like your coffee then suggest you take your own, we’ve had better breakfasts at Premier Inn hotels. Generally the gardens were well maintained, however the paving around the pools was a different matter, some areas in need of repair where concrete breaking up, sunbeds and parasols broken or damaged, lighting very poor at night and sunbeds stacked on footpaths. Main pool was salt water which meant it was ice cold and the fresh water (heated pool) near the main restaurant was much smaller. Location not too bad if you like to walk, it’s approximately half an hour’s walk into Costa Adeje / Fanabe beach area where there is a little more going on plenty of restaurants, bars, shops etc. Overall opinion the hotel is tired and in need of a refurb, the hotel seems under staffed but they do their best and are not surprised when you complain especially the management. Our feeling is they are trying to do as little as possible to address the issues, charging 5* prices but only providing 3* accommodation and service.More
Went with family on their recommendation. Very impressed but with one disappointment. Great welcome and helpfulness at reception when checking in. We were disappointed with the view from our room, but nothing was too much trouble for them, and we were given a far better room the next day. As they were full, this was impressive. Room was spotless, as were the public areas. All staff really helpful and friendly. Grounds beautifully maintained, children's play area well equipped. Plenty of sun beds which we really appreciated. Breakfasts (most important meal of the day) were superb. Both the egg chefs cooked perfect poached eggs and omelettes which is unusual. Loads of choice. Only disappointment was the service at lunchtime at the bar by the big pool. Very, very slow. Most days we had to go to the bar after waiting to be served, very frustrating when you just want a pre lunch beer. Overall though we would certainly go again, lovely hotel and perfect location.More
We went to this hotel because we really needed a week of relaxation in the worse way. We had a club room on the 5th floor and it was lovely. But the week was ruined by what seemed like hundreds of screaming kids. Breakfast was a nightmare with crying and screaming and running kids. We thought dinner would be better but no they were all there running around. We couldn't really even have a conversation with the noise. Because of this we ate out even though we had paid for dinner. Even in the bar in the evenings they were all there running and screaming. I like kids but it like a kids holiday hotel and we needed peace and a rest. Its a shame really because we loved the Hotel but wont be going back.More
